Dixie School District is pleased to announce the launch of the Connect-ED^® service, our new school-to-parent communications service.
With the Connect-ED service, our schools can send periodic and personalized voice messages to parents within minutes. The Connect-ED
service will be used to complement our emergency preparedness procedures. More information about the Connect-ED service may be found

In February we had a very successful test of our Emergency Contact System.  
Please note that continuing students, as well as new students, will have the opportunity to update all their emergency contact information
in the fall for the 2009/10 school year. However, if you need to immediately change your emergency contact information please complete
an Emergency Contact Information form available in the school office or on the Dixie District website. Any change forms for this year should
be returned to the School Secretary.

We also want to thank Dixie Children’s Fund for their initial funding to get this system up and running this school year.

 En febrero tuvimos una prueba muy exitosa de nuestro Sistema de Contacto de Emergencia.  
Observe por favor que los estudiantes de continuación, y también los estudiantes nuevos, tendrán la oportunidad para actualizar toda su
información de contacto de emergencia en el otoño para el año escolar 2009/10.
 Sin embargo, si usted necesita cambiar inmediatamente su información de contacto de emergencia complete por favor el formulario de

 Connect-Ed change of emergency contact forms English Spanish

To All District Families:

 All public schools have been notified that there will be a special “Welcome Back to School” speech by President Obama on Tuesday, September 8^th.  The speech is at 12:00 p.m., eastern time. Today site principals met to discuss logistics, grade level appropriateness, and interest. It was decided that this might be a great opportunity for families to hear the President’s words and be able to discuss the speech as a family.

 The speech will be recorded at the Marin County Office of Education (MCOE) and will be available for families to view. We will make copies of the speech should teachers want to use and integrate into the curriculum.
