Here
is an example of an essay for the Central Valley:
The
Central Valley, A Wonderful New Home
My family and I will choose
to live in the Central Valley. We will make our home near a river, since my
family could use the sticks from trees to make huts for shelter. We could get
fresh water and fish from the river, and there are probably small animals like
rabbits living on the open flatter lands. Perhaps we can learn to grow and harvest
fruits and vegetables to eat. For clothing, there may be deer living among the
trees, and we will use their leathery hides. The tall grasses can be used for
hats or skirts.
The climate and geography also seem quite good. I see no signs of snow. The
clouds show that there might be rain, and maybe lightning. But, except near
the river, I do not see much shade if it gets hot in the summer. When it gets
cold, we can use the sticks from trees for firewood to stay warm.
What will the dangers and natural
resources be in our new land? Much of the region is flat, and there seems to
be few hiding places in case wild animal attack. We need to be careful about
staying safe from animals like snakes and bears. I see many natural resources.
Sticks and rocks make good tools, and there may be clay for pots. In conclusion,
my family and I we will choose to remain in the Central Valley.
