Kinder-Gardens The kindergarden raised beds were built in 1999 by Dixie parents, teachers and students as part of the Nature Trail project in conjunction with the S.E.E.D. program. The kindergarden classes each have a raised garden bed in the kindergarden yard. Teachers and parent volunteers help the children to sow seeds, plant, weed, water, feed and reap the harvest. Children learn how seeds germinate and what they need to grow into strong, healthy plants. Other than narcissus and iris bulbs, all the plants in the kindergarden raised beds are annuals and change each planting season.
