Teaching Tips II

  1. If you have an hour class, choose less than 6 plants to plant.
  2. Before class, mark the reference books at the pages where the plant is mentioned.
  3. Ask the students to read out the information from the books and then write the information on the board so everyone can know the basic facts about the plant.
  4. You may need 15 minutes before the class to set up the hose and gather the tools together.
  5. Weeding may be done by the class in short (10 minute or less) spurts or by a parent volunteer.
  6. Remember to put wood chips over the area you have weeded.
