Teaching
Tips II
- If you have
an hour class, choose less than 6 plants to plant.
- Before class,
mark the reference books at the pages where
the plant is mentioned.
- Ask the students
to read out the information from the books and then write the information
on the board so everyone can know the basic facts about the plant.
- You may need
15 minutes before the class to set up the hose and gather the tools
together.
- Weeding may
be done by the class in short (10 minute or less) spurts or by a
parent volunteer.
- Remember to
put wood chips over the area you have weeded.
