D.A.R.E.
Drug Abuse Resistance Education is a collaborative effort by
certified law enforcement officers, educators, students, parents
and the community offering an in-classroom program to prevent drug
abuse and violence.
The emphasis is to help students recognize and resist the many
direct and subtle pressures that may influence them to experiment
with alcohol, tobacco or other drugs. The Deputy Sheriff of the
Marin Co. Sheriff's Dept. teaches the class to the 5th grades.
