Website Development and Maintenance I

Instructor: Alfia Wallace

Course description:Have you ever wanted to design and build your own website? This 4-session course will take you from a simple page of text to a website created in raw HTML . You’ll learn the basics of web development including HTML, web browsers, importing images, use of file directories, uploading files, and an introduction to HTML editors. Students who have taken this course previously may work on widening their knowledge of HTML.

By the end of this class all students will be expected to have created 3 page minimum website which shows a knowledge of basic HTML, including tables, anchors, link types and site navigation. Students can then create their own sites at home, and with a parent's help, post them to the Internet (see Yahoo! link below.)

If you have never studied HTML before, or want a quick, effective refresher/introduction, please visit Jill Jeffers Goodell's HTML for kids website.
